Why use Breathe Gentle Cleansing Oil?
Soaps and traditional cleansers clean the skin using surfactants – much like dishwashing liquid cleans dishes. Unfortunately, they do not distinguish between the oils you don’t want and the oils you do want on your skin; hence, they usually strip your skin of natural oils, making your skin feel squeaky clean and tight, but also leaving it unbalanced. This causes your skin to produce even more oil to rebalance it. Excess production equals more problematic skin, as people with oily and acne-prone skin can tell you! Using Breathe Cleansing Oil to cleanse will maintain the skin’s natural pH balance, and prevent it from having a production overload. It is specially formulated to cleanse all skin types, to remove makeup and sunscreen, surface debris and excess oil, leaving your skin feeling fresh, hydrated, supple and smooth.
Breathe Gentle Cleansing Oil contains apricot oil and castor oil, which hydrate and moisturize, as well as essential oils of Chamomile, Grapefruit, Rosemary & Lavender. which are naturally antibacterial. Breathe Gentle Cleansing Oil is gentle enough to use around the eyes.
Use day and night. Massage a small amount into the face and neck, concentrating on areas with more makeup. Remove gently with a steamy face towel or in the shower for fresh, glowing, hydrated skin.
Spritz your face and neck, morning and night, immediately after cleansing with Breathe Gentle Cleansing Oil. For maximum hydrating results follow with either Double Double Corrective Facial Serum for a super antioxidant boost, or Breathe Anti-Aging Facial Serum for light skin nutrition. Then apply the richly moisturizing Double Double Face Cream for additional nutrition to combat signs of aging, or the powerful Double Double Face Balm for intensive night-time repair and rejuvenation, especially for dry and mature skin. Always use sun protection for your face and neck.
Apricot Oil
Apricot oil has high levels of two particular essential fatty acids, oleic acid (a type of omega 9) and linoleic acid (a type of omega 6). Oleic acid is an antioxidant which fights free-radical damage. It replenishes lost moisture and prevents moisture loss from the skin. Linoleic acid promotes healthy skin cell activity and stimulates cell regeneration. Both are anti-inflammatory, calming and balancing the skin, whilst promoting healing and repair. Apricot oil has quite slow skin absorption making it ideal for a cleanser.
Castor Oil
Castor oil is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-aging. It has high concentrations of ricinoleic acid, which is a form of Omega 9 fatty acid and hydroxy acid. These stimulate the production of elastin and collagen and simultaneously suppress acne-causing bacteria. Castor oil is extremely thick and slow to absorb, so it has an excellent ability to draw out impurities without adding large amounts of extra oil to the skin.
Chamomile Oil
Chamomile oil is antibacterial and antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and calming to the skin. It helps to flush the pores and extract toxins from the skin. It improves cellular regeneration and wound healing. Its beautiful scent is calming and brightens the mood.
Grapefruit Oil
Grapefruit oil encourages the clearing of the mind and decongestion of the skin. It is astringent and antibacterial, and therefore, excellent for acne. It cleanses and tones, which helps to improve complexion.
Rosemary Oil
Rosemary oil is a very stimulating oil with a scent that refreshes and revives the mind. It has a strong cleansing and toning action and encourages skin healing and skin cell regeneration.
Lavender Oil
Lavender is a healing and balancing oil. It helps to preserve skin strength, improves skin healing and encourages cell regeneration. It helps to balance sebum production and kills bacteria and fungi, cleaning and disinfecting the skin and helping to keep pores open. Its aromatic qualities help to balance the mood.
