Antioxidants and free radicals

Antioxidants fight free radicals to decrease the signs of aging. Vitamins A, B, C, D and E, and essential fatty acids repair skin damage, help the skin to retain moisture, and improve skin tone, flexibility and texture.

Overexposure to UV radiation is one of the major causes of aging skin. UV radiation produces free radicals which, in turn, damage skin cells and cause wrinkles and pigmentation. The moral of the story is to use skincare which contains antioxidants to reverse damage from free radicals and also to always use sunscreen during the day!
