Cocos Nucifera, often referred to as the ‘tree of life’ is a coconut tree from the Arecaceae family that grows in tropical and subtropical regions. Early Spanish and Portuguese explorers called it coco, which means “grinning face”. Nucifera means “nut-bearing.” Everything from its roots to its leaves can be used for specific healthful purposes to nourish our body and our skin.
Coconut oil for skin. Coconut oil is harvested from the kernel (white inner flesh) of the coconut fruit. Abundant in micronutrients and lauric, myristic, caprylic and capric acids, this unique medium-chain fatty acids composition has antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant and antimicrobial properties that help soothe inflammation, fight skin infections, treat eczema and protect the skin from harmful bacteria and fungi. Lauric acid, which accounts for nearly half of the fatty acids in coconut oil has been shown to kill off the strain of bacteria linked to acne.
Coconut oil soap is an excellent moisturizer. Rich in antioxidants, skin-conditioning fatty acids, proteins and Vitamin E, it helps in removing the surface layer of dead skin cells, resulting in a remarkably smoother, softer and supple skin, forming a barrier that will help skin resist moisture loss. Studies show that coconut oil can boost the moisture content of dry skin and may penetrate the surface to help strengthen the underlying tissues. Rated the best oil for their hydration and anti-aging properties, it is effective in preventing premature aging of skin. In addition it helps to protect skin from external factors such as infectious agents, chemicals, allergens, and the elements. (especially during the harsh winter)

Two years on and Feisty Ferdy’s very first product – Farmer’s Friend – is still helping people keep their hands and feet smooth and soft.
Used daily, Farmer’s Friend prevents dry cuticles and dry skin and heals painful cracks in hands and feet. Its rich, golden colour comes from organic cocoa butter and organic beeswax. The cocoa butter softens and nourishes the skin, while the beeswax helps seal in the moisture and keep the skin supple.

Research shows that Sea Buckthorn Oil contains 106 known nutrients and bioactive substances and vitamins, which are highly beneficial for dry, irritated, rough and ageing skin.
